A Different Journey

“SempliceMente’s Caravan” is coming to Genova. A “Train” 30-meter long and 6-meter heigh, full of huge papier-mâché puppies and the “Fourth Caravel”, a magic boat, 7- meter long, will come to Genova full of messages against the prejudice towards the people with defincency created by children. 
On April 26th 2004 SempliceMente Caravan will be placed in the pubblic gardens of Piazza Verdi with an event/show: the creation of the Welcome Country.
A “Country” made of cardboard houses 7 meter long, that are habitable and coloured. These houses will be built starting from the 26th of April by young volonteers with intellectual deficiency. In the mornings there will be laboratories for the manufacturing of the papier-mâché that will be open to the children of the primary schools; the Saturday afeternoons will be characterised by shows of “Young Story-Tellers”. The children of the schools belonging to the Didatic Direction of Genova Terralba and Cicagna will tell “different stories” employing the colourful posters drawed on the sails of the Fourth Caravel.
